Cathy played varsity field hockey and club lacrosse (lacrosse was not a varsity sport in 1970's) at Syracuse University. She has over 25 years coaching experience as the
head varsity coach at a variety of independent schools, including 16 years at the Pomfret School in CT and 5 years at Rocky Hill School here in RI. While at Pomfret her teams won three league championships and they never had a losing season. She has traveled with her teams to Bermuda and to England to compete at the international level. In her five seasons at Rocky Hill her teams made the SENE tournament finals every year and they won three league championships, as well as three SENE tournament championships. Over the years many of her players went on to compete at the collegiate level including Maryland, Brown, Yale, Trinity, Colby, Delaware, UNH, and William and Mary.


In 1990 and 1992, Cathy coached the New England All-Star team that competed at the National Tournament. They were the tournament champions both years. From 1989-1992 she served as the Vice President of the New England Schoolgirl Lacrosse Association and from 1991 through 1993 she was the Chair of the High School All-American Selection Committee for the USWLA. Cathy has coached for the Metacomet Lacrosse Club for two years. Her first being an undefeated season with 3 Championships. She is currently a RI Women's Lacrosse Official (Local).
